Kimberly, Wi -- The New England Riptide lost the first game of the NPF playoffs to the Chicago Bandits 4-1 on Friday night, in a game that saw all of the scoring from home runs. The Riptide will face the loser of the day's second playoff game, the Washington Glory, while the Bandits will match up with the winning Philadelphia Force.
The Riptide got on the board first with a solo home run to deep left field
by All-NPF selection Lisa Modglin, but the lead didn't last long. Chicago, who typically plays on a field with 190 foot fences, took the lead for good with a home run of their own in the bottom of the third inning. |
